A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Growing up, I spent the bulk of my time with animals - fostering kittens, adopting rats, volunteering with a group who rode horses for therapy, pretending my childhood dog was a show jumping horse, etc. Even after moving out on my own, I continued to own cats, volunteer with the elderly for pet therapy and bring home the occasional goldfish.

After my son was born, I obtained my business administration degree and taught him to love and respect animals as much as I did. We have rescued a husky who was trained to become a service dog, learned that our pet ducks prefer Ritz crackers and moved across the country as a military family.

After moving to Whidbey Island, I was hired on as Veterinary Administration for two separate clinics, where I was lucky enough to experience the joys of all things pet related. I found a special kinship with many of my clients and was thrilled to be able to help families through both the happiest moments as well as the hardest moments.

Based out of Coupeville, we currently have 3 dogs, 3 cats and some pet rats. All of our dogs are Lapponian Herders which are high intelligence, stubborn herding dogs. Our newest lappy is a special needs puppy with developmental issues physically.
One of our cats was captured off of Heller rd, covered in puncture wounds and nursed back to his sassy self. Another was adopted as a kitten found in the back of a garage. Lastly, our 18 year old calico, Punkin (for whom the company was named) has been travelling with us since 2006 and currently runs our entire household.

Our family currently works with the Island County Search and Rescue Team, Rover Come Over Pet Care as well as the Whidbey Equestrian Center in Coupeville.

Previous clients have included chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, horses, cats, dogs, hamsters and a tortoise. :)

Why we do what we do

Meet Oona...
After adopting our dog, Oona, our family realized that her situational anxiety made it almost impossible to feel comfortable leaving her in a kennel or doggy daycare. While leading a very sheltered life at a previous owners' house, even walking to the end of our driveway was terrifying for her, much less relocating to an entire new place without any familiar faces. And this is where our in home pet sitting services began.
Speaking to other local pet owners, we found we were in the same boat with many other families whose pets had medical issues, anxiety, fear of the unknown, past behavior issues, age discrepancies and a multitude of other complications. And so we began offering select services to some of the best clients on Whidbey Island!
At this time, Punkin Pie Pet Services is able to offer in home pet care, dog walking, medication administration, animal check in and farm care.
